New Dart Flyscreen Marlin triumph Thruxton 900 - 2015
The new Flyscreen Marlin is larger than conventional about 60% and is more curved.
The Marlin is larger than the Classic (about 60% surface area), and more curved. It’s styled to give more of a 70s look, in keeping with current trends in motorcycle design. The larger area gives a little more protection, but most importantly the distinct curvature ensures that air leaves the surface with as little turbulence as possible, for a smoother riding experience. The Marlin is intended for riders who want a flyscreen with a bit more protection than the Classic, and want to avoid the buffeting that larger screens often cause.
The Bonneville Marlin is available in the following three variants:
The Triumph Bonneville and the Dart flyscreen are natural partners. No other windshield matches the Bonneville style like the Dart - understandably, since both take their influence from the same glorious period in motorcycling.
Apart from enhancing your bike’s looks, there are practical benefits too. The screen relieves wind pressure from your chest, reducing fatigue and making highway speeds more comfortable. Unless you're a long distance tourer, it's probably all you need!
